A water purifier is a kitchen appliance that used to purify water by removing bacteria and microscopic particles. Properties like appearance, odor, and taste of water also improve by using water purifier.
Types of water purifiers
In market, there are different type of water purifiers are available. But, note that all purifiers cannot purify water 100 percent.
There are different processes to purify the water. They are distilled water purifier, charcoal, reverse osmosis, and ionized method.
Distilled Water Purifiers
It is an ancient process in which water will be boiled up to it vaporized completely by leaving all dust and bacteria. Main principle of this process is collecting the water vapor and creates it as pure water.
Most of the times, this process are combined with charcoal for more purification. It is a slow method and with this method only three liters are purified per a day.
Maintaining daily this method is little tedious. Because, before starting the process, all should be well cleaned. Moreover, this process should be done in only high ventilated areas to avoid byproducts of chlorine in congested rooms.
Charcoal water purifier
This type uses charcoal to eliminate the waste substances in water. Job of the charcoal in this method is it will absorb all particles like bacteria, which is present in water. Charcoal can absorb particles, which are smaller than micro particles. Installation of this charcoal purifier is very easy. However, charcoal in the water filter has to be replaced with new one for every six months.
Reverse osmosis water purifier
Basically, reverse osmosis was developed to purify sea water and now this water purifier is using for industrial purposes too. This process uses natural process technology, which differentiates two fluids of dissimilar concentrations with the help of a semi-permeable membrane.
Working of water purifier
The working of water purifier is just similar to the working of water filter. Each water filter heats the water contained in it to purify it. Different water purifiers follow different purifying technologies. However, most of the water purifiers use the traditional method to purify water. The standard concept in water purification is filtration. After filtration is completed, purified water comes out of water purifier. Many components are included in water purifier. Anyways, the main thing is water filter. This is because of water filer is responsible to remove all micro particles to purify water.
As already discussed, many methods are used to purify the water. However, experts are suggesting that charcoal water purifier is more efficient than other water purifiers. This is because of nature of charcoal. Since charcoal is a natural substance, it does not harm health.
